The port of Pointe-à-Pitre handles most of Guadeloupe's passenger traffic: cruise ships, transit traffic, inter-island traffic (Marie-Galante, Les Saintes, Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia); yachting activity and coastal shipping with the northern islands (Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin) and the southern islands of the archipelago.
